Senior Consultant

Desired Experience

• Has led at least 5 end-to-end process improvement projects in government in the past 5 years that have resulted in
  • Reduction of elapsed time by 50%
  • Installation of visual management in the target process, that is being used at a regular tempo to monitor and improve the process
  • Continuous improvement routines (e.g. huddles) where the organization continued to improve after the facilitator left.

1. Ability to work effectively in both of Canada’s Official Languages (French and English)
2. Significant experience working in government (federal, provincial, or municipal)
3. A desire to lead improvement projects as part of their job 
4. A desire and curiosity to learn new methods, techniques, and tools
5. Resilient – addresses setbacks and tries again
6. Prefers to support teams to develop their own solutions instead of imposing their personal ideas and solutions
7. Willing to share credit or defer credit to the team
8. Credibility with subordinates, peers, supervisors, and executives 
9. Self-starter and results-oriented - always finds a way. Known for finishing their projects 
10. Ability to listen and work with a team 
11. Strong communicator
12. Influential in their own workplace – with ability to influence without authority .
13. A coach or mentor, widely trusted (a go-to person) 
14. A change agent - comfortable with change, with a track record of successfully implementing change
15. Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with unclear direction 
16. Experienced presenter in front of audiences at all levels 
17. Problem solving skills 
18. Technical skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
